I've held off of getting or pre-ordering my copy b/c I'm planning on putting it on my Christmas and Birthday lists before buying it for myself. But I would certainly be willing to pay a little more if I knew that part of the proceeds were going to support a museum or other good cause.

I haven't pre-ordered it, but I might think about it just to have it in my library. I don't even know what the list price is; that might determine whether I'd be willing to pay a little more for it. I'd love to give some extra money to a museum that might need the funds, but my budget's pretty tight right now.

Amazon UK has it listed for 15 pounds, I think, but then shipping from the UK. Other places have it listed ~$50.

This would be $50, ~$6 additional for shipping, with ~$20 going to the museum.

Can you get a shipping discount on a bulk order? If so, count me in.

Alas, I've already ordered mine from Amazon.uk.

My copy just arrived today from Amazon.com, which confuses me a bit because I don't remember pre-ordering it, and it's no longer available from their site. I think that the invoice said $49.99 or something like that. Anyway, I'm not quite sure how I got a copy, but I apparently I pre-ordered it. *shrug*

I haven't gone through it in detail yet, but after flipping through the pages just looking at the pictures, it is AMAZING - color pictures!!!

I got to see mmcnealy's preview copy at St. Luke's and it was amazing. I squee'd a ton.

I preordered a copy from amazon.co.uk but they have it back ordered. I wouldn't mind canceling that and getting it from another source. What kind of time frame? I am more concerned about how soon, rather than how much. (Typical impatient American!)

Not yet. Yeah, I was waiting on her to post too, but figured I could gauge interest this way. Like a teaser. :) I like the idea of a bulk order, and sent Kathy a note asking for details.

I would certainly be interested. BTW, as a point of interest, I find that if one wants a book published in the UK and not yet available in the US, going to Amazon Canada is often a good alternative. Shipping is cheaper and more reliable (read faster), and exchange rates tend to be less painful.
